The national conference is coming to St. Louis in 2010!
America in Bloom, an independent, non-profit 501c3 organization, promotes nationwide community enhancement and beautification through education and community involvement by encouraging the use of flowers, plants, trees, and other environmental and lifestyle enhancements. America in Bloom provides educational programs, resources, and the challenge of a friendly competition between participating communities across the United States. In 2010, St. Louis and the Gateway region has been chosen by the America in Bloom Board of Directors as the site for the 9th Annual America in Bloom Conference and Awards Program.
The conference attracts mayors, city managers, citizens and other leadership from communities throughout the country. Highlights of the conference include an opening reception and Criteria Awards presentation on Thursday evening, a general session and concurrent educational sessions on Friday, educational tours on Saturday, and a gala banquet and Population Category Awards Saturday evening.
